Make Your Dreams A Reality

Sometimes we can all get down on ourselves like “I can be doing more, more, more!” Personally, I feel guilty if I’m not being productive every possible second that I’m awake (total Type A). But WOW! Sitting back and reflecting on the past 6 months makes me really proud of everything I’ve been able to accomplish towards my goals since moving to Germany. So much has gone on behind the scenes that many never see. Creating and branding 2 new travel shows. Guiding my graphics designer to create exactly what I wanted for logos. Singlehandedly redesigning and re-launching my entire website. Traveling 3 countries and filming multiple episodes for my both my travel shows, and producing the 1st episode of each show. Submitting 5 Emmy entries. Starting a PT job as a freelance journalist for a media company in the states. Becoming proficient in Final Cut Pro and getting started in Adobe After Effects. Adding to my equipment with a GoPro and ring light. New magazine feature coming up. It’s been crazy and I’ve loved every minute of it.

I learned so much during my past year as Face of FOX43 and it’s very rewarding putting that knowledge to use now. I knew that those 60 hr work weeks and 12 hr days would pay off, because we all know you get out of something what you put into it. Thank you to everyone who had a part in that.

The point is, don’t get down on yourself if you don’t feel like you’re doing enough. Negative self-thought won’t get you anywhere. Every little thing you do is a step in the right direction. Take stock of your accomplishments and let it motivate you to continue to work hard towards making your dreams come true. It’s the only way to live without regret, and never have to ask yourself, “What if?” Thank you all for continuing to support me over the last 10 years.
